Privacy policy
Last updated —
This policy covers information collected by Dash Process LLC through this website and through the pre-qualification and application process.
Applying for a merchant account is an information-heavy process by regulatory necessity. What follows distinguishes between information you give us on this website and information that becomes part of a merchant application handled by an acquiring bank, because those are governed differently.
Draft for review. This policy describes the intended handling of data by this site and must be reviewed by counsel against your actual systems, sub-processors and jurisdictions before launch. Do not publish it as-is.
What we collect
Information you provide directly through the pre-qualification form or by contacting us: business name, website, vertical, volume band, average ticket, current processing status, chargeback ratio band, and your name, role, email address and phone number.
Technical information collected automatically when you visit: pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type. This is used to understand how the site is used and to keep it working.
- We do not ask for a social security number, an EIN, bank account details or ownership documents through this website.
- Those are collected only during a formal merchant application, over a secured channel, after a route has been confirmed.
Why we collect it
To assess whether an acquiring bank is currently writing your category, to prepare and submit a merchant application on your instruction, to respond to your enquiries, and to service an account once it is boarded.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Who it is shared with
Acquiring banks, processors and gateway providers, where you have asked us to submit or service an application. This is the core disclosure: an application cannot be placed without the file reaching the bank that will underwrite it, and we will tell you which institutions your file is going to before it goes.
Service providers who operate parts of our infrastructure — hosting, email, analytics and customer records — under contract and only for those purposes.
Regulators, card networks and law enforcement where required by law or by card-network rules.
How long it is kept
Pre-qualification enquiries that do not proceed are retained for a limited period and then deleted. Records relating to a submitted or boarded merchant account are retained for as long as required by the acquiring bank, card-network rules and applicable financial regulation, which is typically several years after the relationship ends.
Cookies and analytics
The site sets a preference cookie to remember your light or dark theme choice. Analytics, where used, is configured to collect aggregate usage rather than to build individual profiles.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The theme preference is the only site function affected.
Your rights
Depending on where you are, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise any of them.
Where information forms part of a merchant application already submitted to an acquiring bank, that institution is a separate controller of the record and its own retention obligations may prevent deletion.
Security
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, and any claim to the contrary should be treated with suspicion.
