Program boundaries

Where each category stands with our acquiring partners.

Every processor has a list. Most keep it vague. Ours is per vertical, dated, and the same list the Compare page and every industry page read from — so the three cannot disagree, and a change here is a change everywhere. The underwriting decision on any single file is the bank's.

Boundaries reflect our acquiring partners’ published programs. They change; the change log at the foot of this page records when.

Reviewed

Three paths

What each label means.

Standard program

Our acquiring partner writes the category as stated policy. We prepare and present your file; the bank underwrites it and carries the account. One dashboard, one relationship, one set of terms in writing before you sign.

Case by case

Most businesses in the category are written by the standard program. Some models within it are reviewed individually, and a few go to a specialist acquirer. You hear which applies on the first call.

Specialist acquirer

The category needs an acquirer registered or specialized for it. We present the file there; the acquirer underwrites and carries the account. You still get one dashboard and one relationship.

Your industry and monthly volume are enough for us to say whether the standard program writes the category, a specialist acquirer does, or nobody does yet — before you send a document.
